M W James E. Willey, Jr.

Greetings Brethren:

I am deeply honored to have been installed as the 156th Grand Master of Masons in Delaware. For me this is a dream come true. The men who have held this title are a well respected and very distinguished group of men.

I hope that I can measure up to the respected history of this position. Past Grand Master Ronald Conaway's theme was "Pride."

Past Grand Master William Stevens' theme was "Educate and Communicate."

Past Grand Master Earl Emerson's was "Freemasonry: Live It."

We should take Pride in our Fraternity, Educate our brothers and Communicate to the world about Living Freemasonry.

My theme is "Family and Friends." We start in the Lodge as friends and the more you attend the meetings and meet new brethren, the more you grow as a family. If it has been a while since you have attended Lodge, make time to join your brethren in Lodge, rekindle old friendships and make new ones.

My charity this year is the Masonic Home of Delaware. As a fund raiser, I will be selling chances for a very special traveling gavel. Tickets are $5.00 per chance, contact the Grand Marshal or Junior Grand Warden to purchase chances. All proceeds benefit the Masonic Home.

This special gavel was made and donated by Past Master Mark Claveloux, from Union Lodge No. 7. As a Blue Lodge Mason, your first and foremost charity should be our Masonic Home of Delaware.

We currently have six brothers at the Masonic Home that need your financial assistance. There is more to being a Mason than carrying a card and wearing a Masonic ring.

We will continue with the Pocket Petition. Everyone should have a Pocket Petition, if not contact your Lodge Secretary. This way when a worthy friend asks for a petition you have one to give him.

I would like to extend my thanks to the Job's Daughters for doing the Closing Cross at my Installation. I would also like to thank the DeMolay for doing the Flower Talk Ceremony.

My Brethren, let us not forget our youth, the Job's Daughters and DeMolay are 100% of our future. Let?s do are part to support them in all their endeavors.

Again, I want to thank everyone for making this possible and for attending my installation. It was and will be an event I will cherish for the rest of my life.

GOD BLESS, the military men and women that are in harm?s way and GOD BLESS, this great country that we call the UNITED STATES and GOD BLESS, this great Fraternity!

So mote it be,

James E. Willey, Jr.
